Definition of a Hospital Gown: A
short collarless gown that ties in the back, worn by patients being
examined or treated in a doctor's office, clinic, or hospital.
Hospital gowns are generally
described by patients as skimpy, ugly, ill-fitting garments often
leaves one´s backside ignominiously exposed.
Patients
go to hospitals to seek care, comfort and security. Instead, all they
wind up feeling is vulnerable, uncomfortable and insecure. And all
because of the patient gowns they have to wear.
These gowns easily
open in the rear, and leave patients in need of personal and private
care only to be publicly revealed. Even fully-covering gowns used at
some facilities require complete removal prior to many particular
medical procedures.
But all of this impersonal discomfort can be avoided by the use of The ECT Patient Gown!
The
ECT Patient Gown is made of a cloth material with a secured back, large
pockets and various slit openings. All of these openings are strategically placed allowing the bedside care provider to monitor the
patient without having to expose them which allows the gown to fully
and completely cover the patient.
Ordinary
patient gowns are known to be a chief complaint at hospitals, and can
even delay recovery due to the stress it applies upon patients.
Frequently nurses have to improvise ways to secure medical devices,
often compromising patients comfort and safety. The ECT Patient Gown
is a thoughtfully designed gown that provides health care providers
easy access and visualization to those devices while maintaining the
dignity and privacy of the patient. The carefully detailed features
incorporated in the design makes the ECT Patient Gown truly unique..
